Singing Valentines
Each year on St. Valentine's Day (or there about, if it falls on a weekend) the Shrine of Democracy Chorus sends out quartets or VLQs (Very Large Quartets) to sing a valentine's song, present a rose and a photo of the event to special people in the area. The lucky ones that receive the Singing Valentine are selected by someone special to them.

Show
Each spring (usually mid to late April) the Chorus puts on a show of songs that are arranged in the Barbershop harmony style. The Chorus brings in a nationally ranked quartet as special entertainment.

Harmony Happenings
Every August the Shrine of Democracy Chorus invites fellow Barbershoppers from around the region (others are also welcome) to join us in a day of rehearsing several songs and then performing them that evening at Mt. Rushmore just prior to the lighting ceremony.

Oktoberfest
Each fall the Chorus teams up with the local Germans from Russia club to enjoy an Oktoberfest celebration. We bring in a polka band, serve beer (pop as well) and bratwurst, sing polkas and have a good time. And of course the public is invited and very welcome.
